You can read from the panels how each of us came to choose our nominations for this award. What should be made utterly clear is that all three of these cars are top quality kits that we consider to be at the very peak of the industry. These are, quite simply, three of the best kit cars you are likely to come across. There are others as good, granted, but these three outline what we feel makes this industry so interesting. At the end of this feature there will be two losers but it's important that you remember this only makes them the second and third best kit cars in the industry. We'd have no hesitation in recommending any of these cars, so this feature is
THOSE OF YOU FAMILIAR WITH THESE awards will no doubt remember that we set four different categories - Best Kit Car, Most Promising Newcomer, Dud Of The Year and Personal Favourite. This year we've taken the voting one stage further and those cars which the Which Kit? team members vote as the Best Kit Car all go forward to a head-to-head shoot out which will hopefully end up with one clear winner. In the interests of fairness our head scribes, Peter 'Fossil' Filby, lain 'Resident Nutter' Ayre and editor Stent (no nickname for me 'cos I'm writing the feature!) all had to fill in forms giving each of the cars marks out of ten for certain areas such as Performance and Practicality. It won't take an idiot long to see that the three main nominations, GTM K3 (my choice), Marlin Cabrio (Filby's choice) and Dakar 4x4 (Ayre‘s choice), are all pretty different so the hope is that where one scores
